I’m Jeffrey Engel.

I’m a veteran of traditional print media. I’ve been working in web and interactive media since the ’90s. I’ve been a creative lead on newspaper, magazine and commercial projects. I’ve worked on ad campaigns and brand identity.

I joined Vision’s Edge’s creative arm, Imagination Media as Multimedia Director. There I designed interactive catalogs for the prolific Vision’s Edge. Later, I became a creative lead at Horizon Marketing Group working for customers like IMR Global, Discount Auto Parts, Bisk-Totaltape, Bank Atlantic, MicroMo, Moore Data and the Florida Department of Justice. I went to Mainspring (not Mindspring) in Boston to join their Customer Experience team in the early Oughts. I worked on ground-up eStrategy efforts for organizations like the National Technology Transfer Center, Thinking Investments, Royal Ahold of The Netherlands’ (Stop & Shop, Giant, etc.), and Pepsi. Since then I’ve worked for CGI and EDS on major heathcare and medical websites, user interfaces and usability efforts for MassHealth and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

I place a strong emphasis on typography and fundamental graphic design concepts because I believe they are fundamental to positive user experiences. My philosophy is that I’m not just building or designing websites, I’m building businesses.
